The BOUNCE Back programme is designed with graduated exercises aimed at helping you build the strength, stamina and stability to support your return to pre-injury work and your favourite recreational activities, with improved core and spinal stability.

Our BOUNCE back classes are ideal for a wide variety of back pain conditions, including:

  • Post-surgical patients looking to support their recovery after hip, knee or ankle surgery

  • Preparing your body for Functional Exercise Classes or general gym exercise

Medically researched back strengthening exercise programme

Designed by Australian Olympic physiotherapist Trish Wisbey-Roth, BOUNCE Back is a medically researched programme backed by clinical evidence designed to assist those experiencing back pain.

Through the cost-effective eight-week BOUNCE Back course, you can learn how correct muscle movement is designed to help manage back pain and support more efficient movement.

  • Weekly classes last up to an hour, with sessions delivered by trained physiotherapists

  • All classes are one-on-one

  • Uses balls and elastic bands to progressively support your spinal strength, coordination and balance

  • Suitable for various levels of ability and fitness

BOUNCE Back spinal strength exercise program

The BOUNCE Back exercise program individually focuses each muscle group in a systematic method to minimise the reoccurrence of back pain.

LEVEL 1 BEGINNER – Supporting movement and control

  • Specifically focuses on neck and upper back or lower back, hip and limb exercises.

  • Aimed at retraining muscle coordination with structured exercises that gradually progress to more functional tasks.

  • Designed to help you manage your back and/or neck symptoms while supporting your physical movement during daily activities.

LEVEL 2 INTERMEDIATE – Back to pre injury work and/or your favourite recreational activities

Suitable if you have completed the Level 1 class or already have an appropriate level of core and spinal stability.

  • Specifically focuses on neck and upper back or lower back, hip and limb exercises.

  • Focuses on developing more dynamic postural control for your neck/shoulder or lower back/hip and limbs to support your movement

LEVEL 3 ADVANCED – Back to normal work and sporting activities

Suitable if you have achieved a high level of stability after completing Level 2.

  • Dynamic upper and lower body exercises designed to help you work towards overall body strength and flexibility, whilst continuing to support core and spinal stability.

  • Designed to support your physical transition back to work and sporting activities, helping your body function optimally
